For some, standard coffee is just way too weak, but espresso is much too bold. If you are one of those coffee fanatics, we think you’ll find Cappuccino just right – frothy and creamy and oh! sooo very sweet!

Not unlike her namesake, in order to maintain her sweetness, our Cappuccino will require just the right balance. This black masked beauty has idiopathic epilepsy which seems to react to chemicals. No topical flea/tick treatments can be applied to her and there can be no pesticides in any area she has access to. Cappuccino will require daily scheduled medication for life, as well as regular vet visits and blood work in order to check her medication levels. First time Frenchie owners should be fine for Cappuccino, however, adopters experienced in epilepsy--human or canine--will be a must.

Cappuccino also has a sensitive tummy, so she can't tolerate switching around of food and table scraps. Any prospective adopter must be willing to take care with her dietary needs.

This gorgeous girl is crate trained but prefers to have the run of the house, or be confined to an area of her own. Her foster mom reports that she is “mostly” housebroken. It seems that Cappuccino has had a few crate/indoor accidents. If she is given very regular potty breaks she does well. It seems that she just can’t – or won’t - hold it for more than a few hours. There doesn’t appear to be any medical condition causing this. A house with a fenced in yard is a requirement for this girl. Not only does she very much enjoy sitting in the sunny yard, but it would allow her to be let outside frequently and take her time on her potty breaks.

Not a big surprise, Cappuccino was very much loved by her previous owners. They were forced to give her up due to financial reasons. The love she received in her previous home shows; as we mentioned before, this girl is just sweet! No temperament issues at all, she loves everyone! She adores children and has been around kids ages seven years old and up. Cappuccino is a jumper, so we think no little ones as she may bulldoze them right over.

Cappuccino's previous home contained several dogs and parrots and this is the exact environment she is being fostered in now. She adores other dogs and would love a playmate in her forever home! Due to the fact that she is rambunctious, an active dog her size or larger would be best. Cappuccino has not been exposed to kitties, so for their safety we’ll have to give them a thumbs down.

The beauty of Cappuccino is that she’s not a picky girl. She’s just happy to be with her person. She would do great with someone who was home for most of the day. Or she would be the perfect office dog! Cappuccino is mellow enough to hang around your office all day and just loves everyone she meets. If you must leave her home, Cappuccino will also do OK with a pet sitter or mid-day break.

Like many Frenchies, Cappuccino is very happy and loves nothing more than to be with her people. She gives plenty of kisses! She’ll cuddle up next to you on the couch or play with you on the floor. Cappuccino is flexible too – eager for a neighborhood walk, but just as happy to lie on the couch and watch bad reality tv. More on the submissive side, she just wants to please everyone, and if you are too busy to entertain her, she’s happy to entertain herself with an antler or stuffie.

Cappuccino’s foster mom has really enjoyed fostering this girl and has these words to add: “Cappuccino is your typical, clowny, happy, kissy Frenchie. She loves everyone and wants to show it. She gives kisses to everyone she meets including the vet :) Her epilepsy can be managed with diligent medication administration (very regular administration of her medication) and care. I would love to see someone with epilepsy experience adopt her. Someone who will give her a wonderful loving, permanent home while also providing the important veterinary care that she will need. She really deserves it.”

If you’re ready to add some creamy, dreamy, sweetness to your life, please apply for Cappuccino! But be prepared to pick her up in sunny Southern California, because blacked masked beauties such as Cappuccino will never be shipped!

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Except in rare or unusual cases, adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter's home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
