Ever wanted to meet the perfect people dog? Well, we would like to introduce you to Bodhi. Bodhi is a very handsome 3 year-old frog who was surrendered to FBRN with his half brother. They were initially purchased by their former owner, but he decided after one day to not keep them. So, they were both taken to a shelter and FBRN was called in. After many ups and downs, Bodhi has landed in a wonderful foster home and is now prepared to find his forever family.

Bodhi is a mush. He loves, loves, loves people. He is mellower frog than most, preferring to spend his days snuggling with his person and soliciting belly rubs and ear scratches. During his time in foster care, he has been neutered and had his nose and palate resected but has no other known health issues. He has wonderful house manners! He is housebroken and crate trained, but really prefers to be glued to his human rather than be in the crate.

Bodhi hasn’t found a species he doesn’t like. He is good with children, other dogs (although he would prefer a laid-back, submissive dog like himself) and seems to have no problems with cats. He will play a little bit, but prefers the couch and those addictive belly rubs. While Bodhi prefers his couch, he wouldn’t mind going to the office with his person as long as a cushy soft bed was involved. He is not a big barker and likes to meet people. Bodhi needs to have his person with him the majority of the day. Some dogs can do fine with a mid-day dog walker, but Bodhi would really not be happy if he were to be separated from his person all day. He is looking for someone who will be a companion and a buddy to him. Apartment or house is fine for this guy, as long as it includes his person, belly rubs and ear scratches.

Bodhi’s foster mom has this to say about Bodhi:

“Bodhi is a great little guy that loves nothing more then being around people. He has a quiet demeanor about him. He is happiest when he can spend all his time with you. If he can’t get to you he will give a soft little whine that sounds so pitiful, to make you feel sorry for him and shower him with attention. He is a little insecure with things and I think he depends on you for security. He wants to know that his person is going to keep him safe and not leave him. He would love to have a forever home with a person he could eat, sleep and do everything with together. If you want a constant companion he will be a great dog for you. If having a dog follow you around and watching everything you do bothers you, then Bodhi is not for you. I am looking for a home where Bodhi can find his best friend forever. He gets along with all people, big, small, young or old. If you have two hands he loves you. One for ear scratches and one for belly rubbing. He is a good snuggle buddy when sleeping. Curls up and doesn’t move. I would love to see him in a home, where someone will be with this guy all day or a very big part of it.”

If you are looking for your true companion, Bodhi might be the buddy for you. He is currently enjoying the warm Northern Florida early summer weather. Plan on escorting him home in person as he will not be shipped.
