Whamma Bama ding dong, do we have a frog for you! Bama is a 2 year old Frenchie who came to her previous family along with a litter of pug puppies. The pug puppies went on to their forever homes, but Bama needed some remedial work after her first home placement went awry. You see, we don’t like to embarrass her, but Bama has a problem with submissive peeing. She really cannot help herself and her foster parents have tried everything in their bag of tricks including medication. Nothing has seemed to work. However, Bama has shown some signs of improvement. Any forever family will need to realize this is an ongoing problem and accept that.

Now, are you still with us? We hope so because Bama is a great little frog. She is quite the busy bee, making best friends with the English bulldog in her foster home as well some other larger canine foster siblings. She has a busy agenda in the backyard which includes chasing birds, so a home with feathered friends would not be a great thing, unless you wanted chicken for dinner. She likes to chase the water coming out from a hose, She likes to end the day with a snuggle with her favorite person. She loves her people, and would like nothing more than a person to call her own.

She has exhibited no health problems in her foster home and is a very well mannered girl. She is otherwise housebroken, aside from her small peeing problem. She is crate trained, although she can be protective of it. She is also very smart, so she would probably enjoy obedience training. She would love a yard of her own, fenced preferred, otherwise her family would need to be committed to neighborhood rambles so Bama can explore. She would probably enjoy going to work with her person, but if not, her person should be home at least the majority of the day with her in order to provide frequent walks. Kids seem to be no problem, she has been around those as young as 5.

We are committed to finding this sweet little frog her own special family who will understand her special needs and not make a big deal about it. It may get better with time, we really aren’t sure, but if you are comfortable arming yourself with a roll of paper towels and some cleaner, Bama would love to get to know you.

Bama is currently enjoying the start of summer in Northern Colorado. Plan on meeting her there, as she will not be shipped!
