Sweet Anjali is looking for a home that will shower her with attention as their one and only dog. Anjali is currently recovering from surgery and two broken legs. She needs to find a forever home that can give her the TLC she deserves.
Anjali came into FBRN’s care after she had been picked up by animal control. She had been hit by a car and was covered in cuts, fleas, and ticks. She could not walk and had two broken legs. While we are not certain of Anjali’s history, we think that she was previously owned by a backyard breeder due to the fact that at under two years of age she has already delivered a litter of puppies. Once in FBRN’s care, Anjali was able to have much needed surgery, during which she had a pin put in her front left leg and a plate put in her rear right. Anjali is now on the mend and being kept on crate rest.
Anjali is still healing from her surgery, but FBRN has decided to start looking for the perfect home for her that will help her through this long healing process. The perfect home for Anjali will be a home that has no other dogs. Anjali does not like to spend time around other dogs at all. She prefers to be the queen of the castle. If you have a big heart and a loving home with no other dogs she could be the perfect Frenchie for you!
Anjali’s absolute most favorite thing in the whole, wide, world is to be with her people. She just wants to snuggle up on her person’s lap and get comfy. She can get comfy on the couch or comfy sitting on your lap at the computer. As long as she can curl up next to you she is one happy girl!Another thing that Anjali loves is peanut butter. Put some peanut butter on a bone for her and you will have a new BFF.
The perfect home for Anjali will be one that has a work from home/stay at home person and no other dogs or cats. Due to her limited mobility, Anjali’s new home should have a fenced yard for her to practice walking in again. She is not a dog park type of girl. She will also need to be housebroken since it is suspected that she has spent most of her life living outdoors or in a crate. Anjali’s new owners will be rewarded with devotion and love for the time and effort they will dedicate to her. Her new home can have a teenage child if that child is dog savvy and understands Anjali’s healing process. Anjali, like many Frenchies, does not like to be left alone. She will wail at even the thought of not being able to have you in her line of sight. Given her traumatic past, one can only wonder what goes through her little head when she sees someone walking away. Anjali is still recovering and is fearful of new people. For this reason FBRN thinks that it is best for her to live in a quiet home with one or two adults and not too much coming and going. Once she gets to know a new person she will cuddle up with them; it just takes her a bit to trust new folks that come into her life.
Anjali’s foster mom has this to share about her: “We normally don’t put dogs up that are recovering from surgery with splints and casts. However, because Anjali is dog aggressive, we don’t have foster homes without other dogs, so I am looking for her forever people who will make a commitment to her while she’s still in the recovery process. This person or people will need to be willing to work with Anjali’s aftercare, including housebreaking her and slowly exercising her/getting her used to being on all four legs again. I believe that Anjali was a backyard breeder’s dog. When she came into our care, she was filthy dirty, covered with ticks and fleas, had flaky skin, was underweight, and had little nicks in her ears from fighting dogs. She also wasn’t spayed and she has had puppies. It is so tragic how somebody could mistreat this dog. I am looking for a loving person or couple who will show this darling Frenchie what it’s like to be a pampered companion. If you feel that you can provide the kind of attention and care Anjali needs until she is physically and behaviorally settled in, then please apply for this sweet girl. “
If you think you have the perfect home for our sweet love bug Anjali, be prepared to travel. Anjali is being fostered in sunny Southern CA and will not be shipped.
