Ladies, don’t we often find that the tall, dark and insanely handsome ones are sometimes the biggest challenge? But, hey! That’s what keeps the spice in life, right?

Angus is a youngster of a Frenchie who was surrendered by his previous owner due to his snarky attitude. A calm, structured, active adult family familiar with aggression and allergies and with lots of time to play with Angus and take him for walks will be the absolute perfect home!

Thankfully, Angus' allergies seem to be of the milder variety. They are currently being managed with Benadryl, which works well for him, provided it is given as soon as any discomfort is first noted--it's usually paw licking or gnawing that is the tip-off.

Currently living with two male, neutered Pugs, Angus likes other dogs. However, very slow introductions with other dogs are a must. Angus has a severe, scary growl when playing too hard, when not feeling safe, or when he is flipped abruptly on his back. He has never bitten, but Angus has tried to nip, so firm, consistent direction will be a must, and we'll be looking for mature owners who will respect Angus's boundaries and not tease him!

Angus has been exposed to children and does like them. However, due to the fact that small children are oftentimes too hyperactive and cannot understand boundaries -- and Angus himself is a wild ball of energy and does not know his own strength with jumping -- we think for everyone’s safety an adult/older teen household would be the best fit for Angus.

Both housebroken and crate trained, Angus is marvelously smart and even responds to simple commands! He enjoys all chew toys and will busy himself with them if his person is otherwise occupied.

Any sort of dwelling would be fine for Angus, so long as he could get lots of daily exercise, but a home with a fenced yard would be preferable.

Because he’s so good with his potty / crate training, Angus would be fine with a mid day dog walker if his person needed to work during the day. Depending on your office, with a slow introduction, he may do well as a take to work companion, so long as he had a chew toy to occupy himself during the day.

Angus’ foster dad has put a lot of work into this handsome boy thus far, and has these words to add about his little man: “Angus is a real sweetheart. It takes some time to learn his behavior. He will attach himself to whoever will give him the time and love he needs. At night he snuggles up to watch movies with me and is truly a great companion.”

If you think you can offer Angus the loving, structured home he needs, then please apply for him! But be prepared to pick him up because Angus is spending the New Year in Central Texas and gorgeous hunk-a Frenchies will not be shipped!

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Except in rare or unusual cases, adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter's home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
