The French Bulldog Rescue Network is an independent, North American rescue organization, not affiliated with any AKC breed clubs. Our purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Frenchies in need.
In August, 2001, the idea for FBRN was conceived and brought to life by Charlotte Creeley. The first FBRN Board of Directors included James Dalton as President, Kathy Dannel Vitcak as Secretary, Charlotte Creeley as Treasurer and Webmaster, and Lois Milligan and Elena Siegman as Board members. That board stayed at the helm of FBRN until 2005, taking FBRN through lots of growing pains and to success. FBRN will be forever indebted to Charlotte for her tenacity.
Although 20% of our volunteers are FBDCA members, 80% of our volunteers are drawn from the French Bulldog community at large. FBRN exists solely to address the growing problem of homeless French bulldogs. We are grateful to everyone who donates time, effort and money to our cause.
We maintain an extensive network of state contacts across the United States and Canada, and an even larger network of volunteers, foster homes, transporters, homecheckers, and newspaper and website spotters working behind the scenes.
We maintain two Yahoo group email lists in order to provide an open forum for all of our volunteers and to keep them up to date, often on a moment's notice!
