Please give a hearty welcome to Waffles! His name fits him perfectly since he’s super sweet and scrumptious with a brindle coloring that is a beautiful golden brown.

Waffles was surrendered after undergoing spinal surgery in August due to IVDD. He never regained full mobility, bladder or bowel control, and he is incontinent. His previous family loved him very much and sent him to FBRN with all of his favorite things — two stuffed bears named Bob and Jim, his antler chews, blankets, beds, crate, and even a Christmas stocking with gifts! Waffles does not travel light.

We’ve heard that Waffles quickly became his foster mom’s little shadow. He loves to snuggle and just wants to be included in everything his humans are doing! Waffles listens well, comes when his name is called, and enjoys showing off his tricks, like shake and roll over. He’s reported to do well with other dogs, but hasn’t met the resident dogs in his foster home yet. We’ll have more to report after he’s settled into his foster home and had his initial vet visit.

Waffles is an excellent spinal walker, and we believe that he will be a great candidate for physical rehabilitation. His surrendering owners seem to have taken great care of him, but he will be visiting the vet this week for a full evaluation.

In the meantime, Waffles will continue to bring joy to his foster home. If you’d like to sponsor him, just click on the banner above to send some good vibes and whatever extra change you can spare. Thank you!

Waffles looks just like our beloved Gizmo who passed in August and had similar health issues. God bless him, and take care of him. Courtney Saunders
