Please help us welcome sweet Juniper to the FBRN family. Juniper was surrendered to FBRN via an ER Vet after it was determined that her family simply couldn’t provide the care Juniper so badly needs.
Juniper had a litter of puppies last summer and by November, she was paralyzed. After a CT, MRI and spinal tap, it was determined that this sweet girl had a spinal stroke. She isn’t able to bear weight on her back legs but it has been determined that she does have some sensation of feeling in her back legs.
Currently, her foster mom is expressing her bladder, bathing her frequently and giving her antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and pain medication. Juniper has just started physical therapy, cold laser therapy, acupuncture and other therapies and we’re hoping she’ll regain some mobility and continence. She’s also quite submissive and frightened right now so she gets lots of slow, easy loving and snuggles as well as structure and guidance to help her gain the confidence she needs.
Juniper was swept from the ER vet to FBRN and had no time to gather any belongings or save her money. If you’d like to sponsor this sweet girl, just click on the link. She would appreciate it so much, and we know you’d love to make a difference for her!
