"Mocha is the happiest pup in the world, and doesn't let her medical issues stop her from living life to the fullest. I hope that Mocha goes into a loving home with someone who can dedicate themselves 100% to helping her get better. She is an amazing pup who is so adventurous and trusting even given where she came from. I know that being with a family that spoils her unconditionally will be the best thing for her, and seeing her light up when she explores new things is something I can't even begin to describe."

About Mocha:

Mocha has arthritis in her knees, limited mobility in her back legs, and suffers from urinary and fecal incontinence. Mocha is on Proin for urinary incontinence and a trial of CBD oil for arthritis. CBD oil is hemp oil, it does not contain THC, and is legal in all states. She has a history of urinary tract infections that must be monitored for recurrence. Mocha was also treated for whipworm in December 2017.

Beautiful Mocha, mother of two litters of pups, was surrendered by a breeder when Mocha started experiencing weakness in her hind legs and some apparent urinary and fecal incontinence. This delightful mélange of sweetness and mischief is now ready to find a family of her very own who will appreciate her wonderful personality and be willing to help her with her physical limitations.

Mocha's mission in life is to be your bestie, and you couldn't ask for a more attentive companion. She is a world-class snuggler, and will follow you anywhere. In fact, she sits by the bathtub when her humans are taking a shower. Little Mocha is chock-full of character, and Frenchie experience in applicants would definitely be a plus, because she can be a naughty-pants who likes to test boundaries to see what she can get away with. Foster Mom has found that it is best to make sure that she has plenty of squeaky toys and balls, or she might find something a little less appropriate with which to keep herself occupied. Like any Frenchie girl worth her salt, Mocha has her own opinions, and will make them known. For instance, she has been known to passionately debate hot-button issues such as whether or not it is time to go potty outside.

Mocha's incontinence is something that requires further testing. She grasps the concept of going outside, but will have accidents indoors if she's not watched closely. She has been furnished with custom diapers ("fancy pants", if you will), but Foster Mom does not use them often, being more concerned with teaching Miss Mocha proper potty habits. Recently, Mocha started taking Proin for urinary incontinence.

When Mocha has just woken up or when she is tuckered out after a play session, her back end slowly dips here and there. She has already shown improvement during her time in foster care, and is now beginning to walk normally much of the time. She is a trouper, running around in the back yard with her foster brother, but she tires easily and develops a hitch in her giddy-up. Mocha's new family should make sure she gets plenty of exercise to continue strengthening her rear. This should not be difficult, because she loves going for walks and she REALLY loves her squeaky balls. She is currently trying out CBD (cannabidiol) oil for help with any pain related to joint inflammation. CBD oil is hemp oil, it does not contain THC, and is legal in all states.

Mocha's ideal home will have a stay-at-home person, and she would love to have children and/or a friendly canine companion with whom to romp and strengthen those little legs. She enjoys a grain-free raw diet, and takes supplements for joint, tummy, skin and coat health.

Mocha is a nervous traveler, so she would prefer that her new family drive to pick her up by car, and keep a reassuring hand on her during the trip to her forever home. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
