Leyna has hit the available page! If playful pied cuties are just your thing, then look no further. This girl has cuteness in spades! Leyna came to us when her allergies and ear infections became too much for her family. She has made several trips to the spa and stocked her medicine cabinet with plenty of soothing meds, so she is on the hunt for her forever family.
When we say allergies, it’s no joke. Leyna has had a full work-up and a personalized allergen list to prove it. She is currently on allergy medication and a raw diet to tame the nasty itchies. While it’s not possible to keep all her allergens away completely, she really needs a home with parents who are committed to maintaining a soothing routine. Leyna has finally been cleared of an ear infection that just wanted to hang on as long as possible. Sometimes, our bunny-eared Frenchies have trouble shaking ear infections, so Leyna will need to receive routine ear cleanings.
Leyna is quite the human lover. She would love nothing better than to play with her people all day long. Maybe mixed with a good snooze and a short jaunt around the block, however. She also would give other pups a run for their money when it comes to a toy-chewing session. She can gnaw with the best of them and loves playing with her favorite ball.
This girl is particularly fond of her foster brother, so cue the kids! We do think she’ll do best with older, dog-savvy kids, though, because she can get a bit rough when excitedly playing. Leyna has also lost her vision in one eye, so sometimes she doesn’t see what she is eagerly nipping at. For one reason or another, Leyna developed aggression towards other dogs. She is recommended to go to an only-dog home where she can be queen of the house. And, yup, you guessed it: cats are on her allergy list, so cat-free homes only.
Besides her adorable cuteness, Leyna has really worked hard on her resume and loves to tout her positive qualities. She is housebroken and crate trained. In fact, she really doesn’t mind sleeping in her crate all night long. She’s also an excellent stick-er. You know, a dog that catches sticks. She’ll have your yard scoped in no time, if you have one of them. Because of her playfulness and aggression towards other dogs should one walk by, a fenced yard will be best for this lady. She’ll do well in either an apartment or a house and would prefer to have someone home with her during the day or, at the least, a daily mid-day break.
Here is what Leyna’s foster mom has to say: “Leyna is super cute and has such an adorable personality. I can't wait to see her in a home where she can be the only dog and be the princess she so desires to be.”
If you think Leyna sounds like the perfect pied for your home, let us know why in your application. Be ready for a trip to gorgeous California to bring Leyna home, as she will not be shipped.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
With love from Alina and Savannah! Get well quick baby girl.
