"Canele is absolutely the cutest and sweetest Frenchie ever! She is super tiny. Even though she is 2, she is like a brand new puppy. She needs guidance, patience and training. She loves people and attention. She does have a handful of food allergies. She is an investigator and wants to know about everything. She loves running and playing but is quite content in her crate snuggled up in her blankets."
Canele has severe allergies and must remain on a raw diet, Nature’s Farmacy supplements, Nordic Naturals Omega-3 supplements, and regular Cytopoint shots. She has a history of skin infections and must have regular medicated baths. Canele has a history of ear infections that must be monitored for recurrence.

She is allergic to human epithelia and feathers so she must not sleep in the human bed. Potty training is a work in progress.

She might be one of the sweetest and smallest Frenchie filles to ever grace the available page: Canele! At barely two year, she was surrendered when her owner was overwhelmed by Canele's allergies and ear infections at the same time caring for a special needs child.

Like her name, Canele is squishy (if you're into squeezing your pastries) and super sweet. She gets along very well with other dogs, wanting to play all day. And while technically not a puppy, she has puppy energy! She LOVES to run and is super fast. She enjoys chasing kids so if you have children who might not like tiny paws pitter pattering at a fast pace behind them, well, we have heard kids can be trained. However, Canele does nip and jump while playing, much like a puppy, so very young children might not be the best match.

While in FBRN foster, Canele has finally found a formula to keep her allergies controlled: Cytopoint shots, regular medicated baths, a raw diet and supplements. Any potential adopter must be committed to continuing this regimen and watching her ears for any future ear infections. Canele is allergic to human skin so she cannot sleep in bed with her humans but she can still snuggle (if you can get her to sit still)! When in the crate, she is very calm, quiet and content so we humans are the only ones furiously frowning at this no-bed rule. Canele was never potty trained so she has been working on peeing and pooping outside on the grass, not on the concrete porch, Canele! She will need more guidance and encouragement when in her adoptive home.

She is a chewer and a curious explorer so you must watch her surroundings or she'll end up eating something she shouldn't. The ideal match would be a home with a fenced yard. Dog-savvy children who won't feed her and who clean up after themselves and keep the gate shut would be nice. Kids who love to run and play so Canele has an outlet for her energy would be great. Someone who is home most of the day would definitely benefit Canele's potty training schedule. She probably has too much energy to be an office pup but with additional training, anything is possible!

Canele's smitten foster mom thinks "Canele is absolutely the cutest and sweetest Frenchie ever! She is super tiny. Even though she is 2, she is like a brand new puppy. If Canele is just who you have been waiting for, fill out an application and tell us why you'd be a good match for this petite princess. You could drive or fly to Oklahoma as she is small enough to fly in-cabin in a carrier under the seat. She is ready to settle in with a loving, forever family. Will it be yours?

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
