“Kimba has spent her life being used as a breeder.
She deserves a nice, comfy, no puppy (taken care of that part!) life with a family that will give her all of the attention she desires. She's a very sweet girl. She will need continuous attention & medication for her ears for life. Her new family needs to be willing to make that commitment.”

Our sweet little pied Kimba has made it to the available page! Kimba came to us from after she escaped and was found under a neighbor’s car. Her owner didn’t want her and the person who found her was not able to care for Kimba’s medical issues.

Kimba has ear issues and allergies. A limited ingredient diet is helping Kimba with her allergy issues, and it is stressed that she be kept on her limited ingredient diet. She might need allergy medication in the future, but at this time it is not necessary. She does need ear medication twice a week along with bi-weekly ear cleanings. If her ears are neglected they could get inflamed and extremely bad. It is possible that she might need ear ablation surgery in the future, especially if her ear care routine is not followed. Be sure to tell us about your experience taking care of pets (or people!) with allergies or other ongoing medical concerns. We are looking for someone who can and will commit to ongoing preventative care.

Kimba loves both kids and dogs. It is recommended that any dogs be the same size as Kimba or smaller. She also loves to be with her people! She is moderately active and has been since her allergies and ears have gotten better. A fenced in yard is required for Kimba. She is almost house trained and crate trained. She has no obedience training, but she loves to please her people.

Kimba is looking for a family who might have some children or dogs her size to play with. It is preferred that her forever home have experience with Frenchie health issues and allergies. Kimba would be happy to accompany someone to the office. She would do well with either someone that works from home or could come home and let her out for a mid day potty break.

Kimba’s foster mom had this to say about her: “Kimba has spent her life being used as a breeder. She deserves a nice, comfy, no puppy (taken care of that part!) life with a family that will give her all of the attention she desires. She's a very sweet girl. She will need continuous attention & medication for her ears for life. Her new family needs to be willing to make that commitment.”

If you think that Kimba would make a welcome addition to your home, then click on the link and fill out the application to adopt this precious little lady! And then be prepared to travel to southern California to pick her up!

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Except in rare or unusual cases, adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter's home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
